Factory-Reconditioned Bostitch U/RN46-1 3/4-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Coil Roofing Nailer

I replaced the roof on my house with this wonderful tool. As far as I can tell, the only difference between the reconditioned Bostitch roofing nailer and a new one is the price. This nail gun works wonderful and really saved my forearms. It helped in quickly aligning the shingles and the driving force was easily dialed in. Very few nails needed to be finished off with the hammer. It is easy to load and use.
I was renting one of these from the local rental store and they were charging $24/day, or $96 if you wanted to use it for a week. Of course it started raining halfway thru the first day, so I took it back.
We had a large pitchy roof with a reverse gable and the entire thing was 2000 square feet and would have teken forever to do with a hammer. I found this deal here on Amazon and figured it was better to buy it outright instead of renting one, and then I will own it.
The tool worked great, with very few double fires. It was hard to tell the difference between a new one and a refurbished one. It got used hard for a week straight. I am very satisfied with my purchase, and even happier that I now have it if I do any other roofing. I could probably even sell it for what I paid for it. They go twice as much for a brand new one.
I am very satisfied with it.
My factory reconditioned roofing gun came in a nice box from the company. It looks virtually new. It has a few scratches here and there but very little. It looks like it went through about four hours of actual roof abuse. I received it about two days after ordering. I am extremly happy with the quality and price.
This turned out to be a very nice nailer, and was in nice slightly used condition with a few cosmetic marks and a bit of nose wear but at a bargain price and the kinks worked out of it. It puts the nails in with the heads flat unlike some others I have owned and used. The depth adjustment is easy to use and works well. It loads easily and is lightweight and powerful. A real bargain. What more could you want? It’s as good or better than anything else out there.
A good, re-habbed nailer. Bought it to do my own roof. Jammed twice, but I’m not sure if that was due to the nailer or the nails. Jams cleared easily. It likes LOTS of air pressure, working flawlessly until just before my compressor kicks in at 85 psi. When pressure is close to that 85 psi cut in, it sometimes failed to bump fire, requiring sequential fire. If pressure is 100 or more, it’s perfect.
