    Both pads 2″ and 3″ are hook and loop type. Pads are flexable and will conform to work surface. There is very little torq with fine sandpaper so the sander will not move around pulling you into a corner. The orbital action is smooth. This sander looks great,sands great, and fit the porpose for which I bought it for perfectly. Wood worker sanding into tight spots.
